Providing wastewater services has been a family business, spanning 3 generations.  Dorsey Pump and Lawn officially began serving central Mississippi in 2016 and is based out of Flora, Ms.

We pride ourselves with providing professional and dependable wastewater services to both residential and commercial customers in Madison County, Rankin County, Hinds County, and surrounding areas.

We specialize in installation and maintenance of grinder pumps.   In 2020, Dorsey Pump and Lawn became a licensed installer of AquaKlear wastewater treatment systems, certified through the Mississippi State Department of Health.

From new system installation to repairs, inspections and general maintenance, we do it all!  We are knowledgeable, honest, and eager to provide our customers with top quality service they deserve. Our technicians have the experience and training to install, repair, inspect, and clean out your wastewater system quickly and efficiently.

Whether you are building a home and need a new system, or your existing system is on the verge of failing, give us a call to discuss your options!

We would like to take this opportunity to remind our customers that the following items should NEVER be flushed down the toilet or down the sink:

GREASE, PERSONAL WIPES AND BABY WIPES (EVEN IF MARKED “FLUSHABLE”), TAMPONS, CONDOMS, GLASS, METAL, GRAVEL, SAND, AQUARIUM STONES, COFFEE GROUNDS, SEAFOOD SHELLS, EGG SHELLS, SOCKS, RAGS, CLOTHES, PLASTIC, SANITARY NAPKINS, DIAPERS, KITTY LITTER, EXPLOSIVES, FLAMMABLE MATERIALS, LUBRICATING OILS, PAINT, COOKING OILS, LARD, STRONG CHEMICALS, GASOLINE, DIESEL, ASHES, CIGARETTES, DENTAL FLOSS, QTIPS OR COTTON SWABS, HAIR CLIPPINGS, STRING, RUBBER GLOVES, MEDICATIONS, NEEDLES, ETC.

Placing these items down your sink or toilet will eventually lead to premature failure of your sewer system!

"What If My Red Light Is Blinking Or Alarming?"

1. Press the silence button on the bottom of the panel (if equipped).

2. STOP ALL WATER USE for at least 15 minutes.

3. If after 15 minutes, the alarm is still on, call or text us at: 601.941.8933.

Until someone arrives to service your pump station:

  • Keep all water use to a minimum.

  • Remember that all water you use in your house ends up in your pump station.

  • If the alarm light is on, it means the tank is already over half full.  Only flush toilets as needed.

  • We recommend not using the shower, bathtub, washing machine, or dishwasher, as these items use excessive water.

  • If you continue to use excess water while your pump is malfunctioning, there is a possibility that sewer and other wastewater can back up into your home.

  • Treat the alarm as your warning to STOP USING WATER until the pump has been evaluated.
